Relax, release stress, have fun with friends, all in the comfort of home
4 friends + 2 sessions/week + 9 weeks: a dynamic combination of live, in-person yoga and dance classes with friends + video/virtual sessions at home Vinyasa yoga synchronizes the breath with movement. It is a system of movement designed to assist us in feeling flow in the body - a flow of oxygen in the body coupled with the flow of postures in sequence. This is a cleansing movement ritual that can become a regular "bath" for the internal, our mind-body, just as we take a bath to cleanse the external, our skin. Mindfulness meditation utilizes the focus on the breath to find concentration, become aware of thought patterns and bodily sensations, and experience the benefits of being completely present in the moment.
Afro-fusion dance focuses on movement from West Africa, the Caribbean, Brazil, and the United States. This dance approach emphasizes each person finding their unique rhythm, finding freedom through improvisation, using full body movement to energize the whole body, and having fun with others while following dances to rhythmically infectious music.
